Marc Ensign’s work experience began in 1978 at Honeywell's Micro Switch division in Illinois where he worked in all phases of Materials Management, including production control, inventory control, and purchasing.  In2001 Marc joined Sonoco Products Company, a premier custom packaging company.  Marc is the Director, Strategic Sourcing, Services/Outsourcing and Supplier Diversity.  In this role he manages supply strategy and leads corporate efforts to reduce the cost of services Sonoco purchases, reduce supplier risk, push “Green” into the supply base, and drive supplier diversity.  Previous to this current role he was responsible for driving supply strategy into Sonoco’s European, Asian and South American Regions.  In 2007 and 2012, Marc received the “Buyer of the Year” award from the Carolinas Minority Supplier Development Council. In 2009, he was awarded the “Champions of Diversity” award by the Diversity Plus Magazine.  He received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University and his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
